Robert de Loryn brings over 30 years of high-level experience in leadership, human resources, organisational development, and executive coaching across Australia and the Asia–Pacific. Early in his career, he held senior human resources roles with major multinationals including Unilever Australasia (2002–2004) and Sara Lee (Australia/New Zealand) (2001–2004). He later served as Change Manager at Australian Unity (2004–2006) and contributed to transformation initiatives at Australian Red Cross Blood Service. In 2005, Robert founded RdL Management Consultants, where he has served as Managing Director for nearly two decades, overseeing projects across sectors including healthcare, consumer goods, finance, public sector, aviation, automotive, and mining. His firm has delivered leadership development programs in Papua New Guinea and Fiji for 18 years, underscoring his international industry footprint. Robert has also accumulated over 20 years as an executive and life coach, mentoring professionals and executives and guiding complex organisational change. The Industry Professor Association is a non-profit organisation that recognises industry expertise and experience and helps members gain the ultimate recognition of their Industry career. We also help organise their industry expertise by converting it into digital learning products and sharing it with a learner hungry world.
As a previous Head of School – Southbank Institute of Technology, it gave me great insight into educational design, corporate client learning needs, government policy and strategies. My goal was to meet the needs of industry in regards to providing graduates who were highly trained in practical skills and employability skills. Whilst meeting the learning style of a generation that is highly engaging with communication channels, and immersed in collaboration to gain learning at their time, place and pace.
